We propose our route begins at the Calgary International Airport where travellers destined for Banff can deplane and complete their trip on high speed rail. Ideally this will be accomplished without the need for passengers to handle their own bags.
Potential stops along the way include a link to the proposed Calgary-Edmonton High Speed Rail and the Calgary LRT North Station.
This project can become the link for people and communities, other stations may include Cochrane, Stoney Nakoda Nation and Canmore. Train schedules would be adjusted for customer demand with express runs during peak tourist demand from the airport and milk runs scheduled to accommodate commuter demand. A train for everyone.
History has proven that transport brings opportunity; future development could include slower branch lines connecting to Kananaskis or Lake Louise.
We propose our route ends in Banff where travellers can engage in whatever activities awaken their soul having arrived refreshed and ready to breathe.
This is a project that can give back for generations. A project that will start at two ends and meet in the middle. A project that will connect communities, leaders and our imaginations. The door is open if you care to get on board.
